This is the first layer of silicone rubber applied over the clay last forms. I'll build up the layers to make a sock-like covering to the lasts. Then I can make a three part plaster casing which will hold the silicone moulds firmly. Fortunately it's all quite straightforward as I've done it all before three years ago and made extensive notes then which are a great help now. So really I should be able to get these moulds completed quite soon...but then there's this sewing project that's calling to me...
